Blog Revival!

Hello,

I have decided to revive this blog in an effort to really keep track of what I have read. I will first be publishing the remaining books that were drafted (and read) back in late 2013, early 2014. This is for the sake of remembering these books. They will not be reviewed.
I will then post the books I have read in 2015-2017. As the date gets more current there will be some reviews added, however they will not be as in depth. Finally the books from 2018 will be added with review.

Bye,
Coco :)

Book 11- Fractured

      title - Fractured

      author - Teri Terry

      genre - contemporary fiction

      number of pages - 399

      date I read it -  January 2014

Rose -
This is the sequel to Slated and did answer so many questions from the first book however...

Thorn -   This book, sadly, did not go well AT ALL for me. After having read Slated I was very excited to see that the next book was out, but as I was reading I feel like all the parts that were supposed to be major plot twists weren't.  For many parts I had already guested what would happen next way before that event actually happened.  I was so disappointed that this book didn't turn out better.

Bud - There is a third book in this series (it's a trilogy), and although some might presume that because my thorn in this book was so prominent I won't read then next one or look forward to it. Quite in the contrary actually, I still want to see how the author concludes this series. Also, depending on the writing in this last book I'll be able to infer what kind of writer she is, so far i believe she is a writer that does show much potential, but is better off writing books that are not part of a series.

* What I have said should not alter your wish to read Fractured. This book does have its strong points, don't get me wrong.
             bye,
                Coco :)

Rose -
i can definitely see why this book was nominated for the yerling newbery award. this book is amazing and "safe".  this book had SO many plot twists. I really did love it.

Thorn -  as i am older than elementary i thought this book could use more a little more of a push.

Bud - this is a harmless book that allows 3rd graders to be eligible to read it comfortably.

* WOW is all i can really say.
             bye,
                Coco :)

Book 9 - Slated

      date I read it -  July 20- 24, 2013

Rose -
i absolutely LOVED this book, it had a fantastic plot and kept me hooked from the very beginning and surprised me often.

Thorn - it ends in a cliff hanger and the sequel is not coming out anytime soon. :( otherwise i have nothing constructive (bad) to say about it.

Bud - it's like nothing I've ever read before and made me want to read more like it.  teens and adults would probably like this book... that is if you are in to thrillers and action.

             bye,
                Coco :)

Rose -
this was a new kind of book for me and an adventure because of that.

Thorn -  i did not at all like the story plot though, it was not original and was not very hooking

Bud -  of you enjoy reading more "girly-girl" books, then this book is definitely your kind of book

             bye,
                Coco :)

Book 7 - Bridge to Terabithia

      author - Katherne Paterson

      genre - fiction

      date I read it -  July 16, 2013

Rose -
i reminded me of the treehouse series that i loved when i was younger, and brougth back memories, it is nothing "new" and isn't as surprising as some other books, but is a great option for a change in reading.

Thorn -  this book had its sad moments that would hit you out of nowhere.  I  wasn't expecting it at all and sometimes that is a good thing, but i wasn't looking for something like that at that time

Bud - this is a really fast easy read that can be read to a large range of ages.

             bye,
                Coco :)
